Antifragile Communication Design

Three courses Four weeks each 48 contact hours Studio, in English

One subject from three positions: what the attention economy does, what a designer owes the person on the other side, and what the same mechanics can be used for instead.

Media as Universe

The attention economy

Name the mechanics operating on you, find where the model that uses them is structurally weak, then build one thing and measure what it costs the people who receive it.

Leaves with An artifact, a measured result, a sourced causal analysis.

02

Human-Centric and Neuroethical Design

The designer's obligation

Judge a shipping product, write the judgement down, and defend it against a room arguing in good faith for the thing you condemned.

Leaves with A design review document, and a verdict they can hold.

03

Alternative Storytelling

Narrative and play in education and wellbeing

When does a loop serve the person rather than the system? Three tests separate them. Taught through three built projects.

Leaves with A playable artifact, a mechanic-by-mechanic justification, a measured result.

The terms, common to all three

  • One artifact, not a portfolio.
  • No marks for attendance, participation or volume.
  • A poor result, honestly measured, scores above a good one with no method behind it.

Nothing in these courses is graded on engagement. That is the subject.
